weekend of showers

After Rebecca's birthday party, I headed to the Upstate early Saturday morning for a wonderful bridal shower thrown by some of my favorite Clemson girls. I love getting to see these girls and catch up and have celebrated many weddings and babies with them over the years, so it was such a thrill to get to celebrate my upcoming wedding with them. They were among the first people that Richard and I got to announce our engagement to at the Clemson-Florida State game! The shower was held at Meg's house in Greenville, and these beautiful girls below, along with Hannah, were the skilled hostesses.

I received so many thoughtful gifts and was completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of my friends! I had the best time, and I was sad for the day to be over! But Sunday held even more fun- I got to be a hostess at a baby shower for my good friend Mary Madison. Mary Madison was planning on being a bridesmaid in our wedding, and then she found out she was pregnant! She's is due just a week before the wedding, and we all can't wait to meet her new baby girl!
